The domestic market recorded its biggest decline in nearly a month on Wednesday amid weakness in international markets and the closing date for monthly futures. The Sensex fell 871.13 points (1.74%) to 49,180.31 and the Nifty fell 265.35 points (1.79%) to end at 14,549.40. This was also the fourth major decline this year.
According to traders, economic recovery will be affected by the second and third wave of corona infection in India and Europe respectively. Due to this, shares of all the sectors except Pharma came under selling pressure.
