CCTV surveillance system update in all 17 police stations of Chandigarh


Chandigarh | CCTV surveillance system has been updated in all the 17 police stations of Chandigarh. The memory of all these CCTVs will last for one and a half years. On the other hand, the work of installing CCTV surveillance system in all police stations in Punjab will be completed by April 30. This information has been given to the Punjab and Haryana High Court on behalf of the Chandigarh Administration and the counsel for the Punjab Government. The Supreme Court is also hearing the matter. In such a situation, the High Court has fixed the next hearing in this matter after the hearing of the Supreme Court. The High Court had earlier said that the Punjab and Haryana governments should complete the installation of CCTV cameras in police stations as per the directions of the Supreme Court. If the work is not completed within the stipulated time period, contempt of court action will be taken against the concerned officials. During the hearing, the Additional Public Prosecutor of the Chandigarh Administration said that cameras were already installed in all police stations and outposts, but work was being done to update them. Now this work has been completed.
