People with high cholesterol can also eat new variety of groundnut

Scientists of the Department of Oilseeds, Junagadh Agricultural University have developed a new improved variety of groundnut. Scientists Dr. RB Madariya (groundnut researcher), Dr. ND Dholaria, Dr. JB Bhoot and Dr. GK Sapra have developed this variety. It has been named - GG - 37 and GG - 381. It is also capable of fighting automatically against disease outbreaks. This variety is cholesterol free. Means people suffering from cholesterol will also be able to eat this groundnut. This groundnut has more than 79% oleic acid, which is good for the heart. Will be helpful in reducing fat. It is helpful in opening the arteries and veins. Will strengthen the bones. The seeds of this variety of groundnut will be available in the market in 2024-25.
