Amritsar | In Bhai Manjh Mata Ganga Nagar, the sacked policeman, pretending to be a CID staff, ran away with jewelery and cash in the name of checking in the house. The accused has been identified as Naushehra Pannuan Tarn Taran, resident of Gurwant Singh. Victim Harpreet Singh told that the accused Gurwant Singh came home with his partner and told himself as CID staff that information has been received that you are a drug smuggler and have come to check. The accused took away gold chain, ring, tops and Rs 1.20 lakh from the cupboard. Police station Sultanwind in-charge Ranjit Singh said that the accused Gurwant Singh, who was earlier a policeman, took money and jewelry to Harpreet's house by posing as a CIA staff. A case has been registered against the accused.
